Description:
Pavement Armor uses the Endurablend™ Composite Pavement Preservation System which is a polymer cement slurry surface (PCSS) system designed to restore flexible, semi-flexible or rigid pavement surfaces that have experienced spalling, raveling, oxidation degradation, environmental exposure, vehicular wear and exposure to aeronautical aliphatic hydrocarbons. The material can be placed in single or multiple lifts (layers) for added thickness and protection in extreme environments and/or conditions.
Recommended for:
- Concrete or highly oxidized asphalt aircraft aprons, taxiways and runways.
- Aircraft maintenance areas or machine shops.
- Areas where a “high” coefficient of friction is needed such as runways and taxiways.
- Pavement under APU units and fueling trucks.
- City/County roads and bridges
- Industrial, commercial or school parking areas
- Dual purpose cycling and running paths
- Port or maintenance yards
Features and Benefits:
- High coefficient of friction
- Aesthetically pleasing
- Resistant to aliphatic hydrocarbons, (Avgas, 100LL, Jet A, Skydrol)
- Adheres to asphalt, concrete and hot pour crack fillers
- Cost effective alternative to hot-mix overlays, micro-surfacing, coal tar slurry seals and seal coat applications.
- No milling required to place material
- Environmentally safe
- Applied in different colors
- Can be periodically hydro-blasted to remove old rubber and markings
- Reduced pavement temperature (heat island effect)
- Contains NO volatile organic compounds (VOC)
- Millable and recyclable
Additional Options:
Friction Coarse: Aggregate topically applied at a rate
applicable to the required friction specifications. Siliconized acrylic pigmented sealer for various color needs in addition to enhanced chemical and fuel resistance.
Theoretical Coverage:
Coverage depends on many factors; oxidation, pavement age and type, chemical damage, etc. Coverage is determined by a yield test strip that is applied prior to bidding and/or pricing to determine the average coverage rate required to provide the highest quality surface texture and protective barrier.

1. The data shown is representative of laboratory test 28 day cured samples. Reasonable variations from results shown may be experienced as a result of atmospheric and job site conditions. Mix entire 3kg of Endurablend™ material when preparing compressive strength specimens.
2. Test sample prepared by overlaying ¼” (6mm) of product on 6″ diameter asphalt core
3. Sample prepared with topical application of quartzitic sand.
4. The test area was located in a parking lot in close proximity to a building.
Endurablend™ Systems is applied by specifically designed PCSS extrusion blades in order to achieve the desired thickness and surface texture. Material must be applied by a crew of properly trained technicians in order to provide the highest quality available.
Curing:
On a standard day (75 degrees with between 50% – 75% relative humidity) the curing time to receive traffic is approximately 2.0 hours per single layer. The higher the temperature and the lower the humidity, the faster the cure time.
Special Conditions:
- Ambient temperature shall be a minimum of 50F degrees and rising.
- Do not apply when rain is imminent or forecast within 8 hours of completed application.
- Application surface must be structurally sound.
